Beaver Falls, PA - The wait is almost over for the men′s and women′s soccer teams at Geneva College. Already having to wait for the past two weeks, the Golden Tornadoes will finally get back on the field next week. Although it will still be a week before the NCCAA East Regional tournaments kick off, head coaches Todd Beall and Linda Sumner can finally start preparing for a specific opponent.

The men′s team will be enjoying a home field advantage in a four-team regional that begins next Friday. A pair of semi-final match-ups begins at 1 pm with Nyack facing top seeded Mt. Vernon Nazarene. The night cap will feature the Golden Tornadoes hosting Roberts Wesleyan at Merriman Athletic Complex beginning at 3 pm. The two winners will meet in the regional finals next Saturday at 12 pm. The winner will receive an automatic bid the national tournament in Kissimmee, FL.

Geneva′s women will have an easier path to the national tournament needing only one victory to advance to the national tournament, but that win will have to come on the road. The Golden Tornadoes will travel to Rochester, NY next weekend to take on Roberts Wesleyan in the east regional finals on Saturday afternoon.

Geneva′s men enter the post-season with a record of 15-4 while the women′s team posted a 9-8 regular season mark.
