Beaver Falls, PA - It took two overtime sessions to decide the outcome on Saturday between Geneva and Chatham in PAC women′s action. Neither team led by more than six points throughout the game but it was Chatham that prevailed 73-68 in double overtime. Geneva dropped to 5-8 for the season while Chatham improved to 6-6.

Chatham led Geneva 34-33 at halftime, but neither team brought the offense back to the court after the break. Chatham managed only five field goals and shot 18% from the field in the second half. Geneva was 4-24 from the field in the final 20 minutes for a dismal 17% mark. Despite the offensive struggles, both teams ended regulation with 52 points. Neither team could score in the final 1:45 of regulation.

Geneva rallied from five points down in the first overtime to draw even and send the game into its second overtime period. Renee Rawding knocked down a pair of three point field goals on her way to a season high 30 points. Chatham finally pulled away in the second overtime by outscoring Geneva 15-10 in the final five minute period. Kayla Hilko led Chatham with 18 points, while teammate Courtney Smith chipped in with 16 points.

In addition to Rawding′s great day, Geneva got 12 points from Beth DeLuca and ten points from Rachel Barry but it was not enough. "We certainly had our chances," said head coach Renee Drake. "We could not deliver the knock-out punch at key moments in the second half and during overtime," said Drake. "Renee (Rawding) had a great night, but we didn′t give her much offensive support."

The Golden Tornadoes will hit the road next week with games at Grove City and Westminster on Wednesday and Saturday respectively. Geneva returns home on January 20th to host Waynesburg.
