The Beaver Valley Youth Network (BVYN) and Geneva College will host a College Search Reception at Chippewa Evangelical Free Church on Saturday, February 27, from 10 to 11:45 a.m. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served.

The reception will include seminars on how to choose a college, ways to pay for college, and why Christian colleges are worth consideration. Speaking on these topics are Naomi Oosting, Beaver County Christian School guidance counselor; Steve Bell, Geneva College director of financial aid; and Dr. Ken Carson, Geneva College provost. College-bound students and families will also have opportunities to ask questions about the admissions process and financial aid. The event will be emceed by Rich Grassel, director of BVYN and senior pastor of Conway Alliance Church in Conway, Pa.

“I was intimidated when I began my college search,” says Jennifer Bretch, an assistant director of admissions at Geneva College. “We want to provide students with tools that will equip them to confidently complete their college search, find ways to finance their education and consider how a Christian college can strengthen their walk with God.”

For more information or to register, go to www.geneva.edu/collegesearchreception or call 800-847-8255. The deadline for registration is February 25.
