As Geneva enters the home stretch of the spring semester, soon-to-be graduates are gearing up for commencement. This year′s ceremonies will be held Friday, May 7 through Monday, May 10.

The graduate and adult education commencement ceremony will take place Friday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse. This year′s speaker will be Dr. David Harvey, professor of psychology and counseling and coordinator of the school counseling program in Geneva′s M.A. in Counseling. A reception in Merriman Gym will follow the ceremony.

The baccalaureate service will be held on Sunday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse.

Traditional Undergraduate Commencement will be Monday, May 10 at 10 a.m. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held out outdoors in the newly renovated Reeves Field. Dr. Terry Thomas, professor of biblical studies, will speak. Thomas teaches upper-level Bible and ministry classes at Geneva, as well as courses in the M.A. in Higher Education program.  After the ceremony, there will be an outdoor reception on campus near Old Main.

If the undergraduate commencement ceremony must be moved indoors, tickets will be required to enter Metheny Fieldhouse. Limited overflow seating will be provided for guests without tickets in Northwood Hall (NW 013), where there will be a live video and audio feed of the ceremony.
