Geneva College students impacting the world for Christ through missions trips.

This spring break, March 5 – 15, a total of 41 Geneva College students will participate in mission trips coordinated by the Office of Campus Ministries′ Quest Program. Focused on education and holistic service, these trips open students′ eyes and work to foster sustainable, long-term change.

“We hope to encourage students to think more critically about what it means to love our neighbors as we learn more about different places, cultures, and how we can serve them thoughtfully and faithfully,” says Missy Davis, assistant director of campus ministries. “We are seeking to create partnerships with organizations that promote growth in student leaders and participants, are educational, can be sustained through on-going relationships, and come alongside the service of the host organization.”

New Orleans, Louisiana
Eleven students will partner with Trinity Christian Community to meet the needs of the surrounding community through a youth program and home repair.

Washington, D.C.
Four students will work with several different organizations to learn about social justice issues and how to engage with impoverished and marginalized communities.

San Luis, Mexico
Partnering with Caring Hearts Ministry, this team of 11 students will work with children in a orphanage and a boys′ home, as well as the poor living in the city dump.

Los Angeles, California
As they learn about and work with a variety of cultures, these seven students will serve at soup kitchens, help with World Vision activities and minister to the homeless.

Aliquippa, Pennsylvania
Eight students will work with Australian missionary John Stanley at the UnCommon Grounds Café while gaining a better understanding of the diverse community in Aliquippa.
