Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College softball team continues to look for ways to sweep a doubleheader. Since returning from Florida, the Golden Tornadoes have split five of six doubleheaders including a split on Tuesday against Chatham. After winning game one by the score of 8-3, the Golden Tornadoes dropped a 3-1 decision in the night cap. The split moved Geneva′s overall record to 10-12.

Geneva watched Chatham jump on top 2-0 in game one of the doubleheader with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth. The Golden Tornadoes quickly responded with a three-spot in the bottom of the inning. Julie DiLonardo doubled in a pair and third scored on an RBI ground out by Lori Deem. Going the distance, DiLonardo allowed four hits in the victory while striking out nine batters. Samantha Michetti and Bautista each had a pair of hits in the victory.

The Golden Tornadoes saw their offense shut off in the night cap with only two hits in the 3-1 loss.
