Veterans PlazaAs part of Founders Day on Saturday, April 17, Geneva College will dedicate the new Veteran′s Plaza at the north entrance of Reeves Field. The plaza honors those who have served and continue to serve our country as members of the United States Armed Forces.

The ceremony will be held at 3 p.m., and alumni, students, and members of the community are invited to attend. G. Barry Davis ′75, former army chaplain, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and pray, and President Ken Smith ′80 will present the address. The Beaver Area JROTC will serve as the color guard.

Displayed at the dedication ceremony will be a very special American flag that was sent to the college by Ed Lum, a senior physics major who is now serving in Qatar. The flag was flown on a C-13- Hercules over Afghanistan and Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
