Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College football team is set for the final year of NCAA Division III provisional status. The Golden Tornadoes will become full fledge members of the Presidentsā€² Athletic Conference and be eligible for the NCAA post-season beginning in the fall of 2011. As for the upcoming campaign, the Golden Tornadoes will be looking to defend their fifth NCCAA Victory Bowl title which was captured at the end of the 2009 season. Head coach Geno DeMarco, who is beginning his record 18th season at the helm, will guide the Golden Tornadoes into their 120th season.

Geneva opens the 2010 season on the road against Frostburg State University on Saturday night September 4th. The Golden Tornadoes will open the home portion of their schedule on September 11th against Albright College with the kickoff scheduled for 7:00 pm. The home opener will once again be free to the public as Geneva celebrates Community Night on its campus and at Reeves Field. Other Geneva home opponents include defending PAC champion Thomas More (Sept. 18) and perennial Division III powerhouse Washington & Jefferson (Oct. 23). Homecoming is scheduled for October 9th when Waynesburg University comes calling for a 4:00 kickoff. The regular season comes to a close against long time rival Westminster College for a 1:00 start on November 13th at Reeves Field.
