Beaver Falls, PA - The 2010 Geneva College football season has the makings of being a very special one for senior running back Gerard Muschette. Continuing to climb the ladder of all-time greats, Muschette got off to an impressive start last Saturday in Geneva′s 32-27 victory at Frostburg State. With 180 yards on the ground and an additional 48 receiving yards, Muschette claimed co-NCCAA national player of the week honors.

The senior running back also found the end zone three times in Geneva′s season opening victory, including the first score of the game and the final touchdown that iced the victory for the Golden Tornadoes. Scoring on runs of 12, seven and two yards, Muschette is also climbing the ladder of all-time leading scorers in the 120 year history of Geneva football. Currently, Muschette has scored 170 points and ranks eighth all-time in that category. On the ground, Muschette has racked up 2416 yards and is less than 100 yards away from cracking the top five on Geneva′s all-time list.

Muschette earned NCCAA player of the week honors once last year and was also named the NCCAA offensive player of the year and Victory Bowl offensive MVP in 2009. If the first game of 2010 is any indication, Muschette is primed for even bigger and better results.
