New Wilmington, PA - The shut-out trend continued for the Geneva College women′s tennis team on Wednesday afternoon. For the third time in four matches, the Golden Tornadoes were held winless in a 9-0 loss. This time the Golden Tornadoes fell victim to an undefeated Westminster team that moved to 6-0. Geneva dropped under the .500 mark for the first time this fall at 2-3 overall.

The Golden Tornadoes dropped three straight doubles matches to start the day and managed to take just four games combined in those three matches. The Golden Tornadoes were shut-out in singles action with each match being decided in straight sets. Alison Beattie gave the best effort in a 7-5, 6-4 loss in number four singles.

Geneva hits the road to Kentucky on Friday as it will play Thomas More on Friday before taking on Asbury College on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Tornadoes return home next Friday to battle Waynesburg.
