Beaver Falls, PA - Geneva College women′s tennis coach Mandee Craft quietly goes about her business in her 10th season as the Golden Tornadoes′ coach. For the third straight year, her program will have a winning season. Geneva clinched that winning season with a convincing 8-1 victory over Pitt-Bradford on Saturday as the Golden Tornadoes improved to 7-5 with only one match remaining in the regular season.

Geneva got off to a good start on Saturday afternoon by winning two of three doubles matches with Chelsea Cover and Kara Zimmerman cruising to an 8-1 victory. Teammates Maura McLaughlin and Christine Bullock also pulled off a doubles victory by the score of 8-5.

In singles action, Geneva swept the day with six consecutive victories. In fact, each of the six singles matches was decided in straight sets. Cover and Zimmerman pulled off the double dip with victories in singles to go along with the doubles victory.

Other winners in singles for the Golden Tornadoes included Alison Beattie, Amy Weller, Casandra Califf and Julie Kline.

The Golden Tornadoes close out the 2010 season next Tuesday with a home match against Washington & Jefferson scheduled for 3 pm.
