New Wilmington, PA - One minute into Geneva′s home game against Thiel back on October 6th Elise Mann buried a breakaway goal that turned out to be the eventual game winner. Little did anyone know that Mann′s tally would be the last goal Geneva has scored since that match. In fact, a total of 449 minutes have now past since Geneva′s last goal with the latest disappointment coming on Wednesday night in a 3-0 loss to Westminster College. The Golden Tornadoes fell for the fourth straight game and dropped to 9-5-3 on the season. With the victory, the Titans improved to 8-7-1 on the season.

The Titans opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the match with the first of two goals from Sarah Nee. Taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, the Titans struck again just two minutes into the second half to extend their lead. Nee scored her second of the game in the 83rd minute to put the game away. Geneva managed nine shots including four shots on goal, all of which came in the second half.

Lauren Londino made ten saves in the game and was especially effective in the first half with eight of those saves allowing Geneva to get to halftime down just one goal. Geneva′s efforts were also hampered on Wednesday because it was playing without midfielder Rebecca Shaw who suffered a concussion in Geneva′s last game. Shaw is expected to return for Geneva on Saturday.

The Golden Tornadoes return home Saturday to play host to Chatham University at 2 pm. Next week, Geneva travels to Waynesburg on Wednesday before returning to Merriman Complex on October 30th for the regular season finale against Saint Vincent at 5 pm.
