Humans vs Zombies at Geneva College

The Office of Student Programs and Leadership (SPL) has planned several events for students to enjoy throughout the spring semester.

February
Friday, 2/4 How-to Series
Designed to not only be fun, but also educational, the event is in Northwood starting at 7:30 p.m. and everyone will be able to participate in two sessions.
  • BFCAT: Russ and Bethany Warren will be demonstrating latte art and other coffee related skills.
  • Other sessions include yo-yo tricks, balloon art, how to make a bracelet, and more.
Friday, 2/11 President′s Ball
The ball begins at 8 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse. It will be a formal affair, providing students with a chance to break out prom dresses, tuxedos and ties. Student Activities will provide food and drinks for a celebration that isn't to be missed.
Tuesday, 2/22 Open Mic Night
Students will showcase their talent in the Brig. Those interested in performing can sign-up in the SPL Office.
March
Student Activities Surprise Random Events Month
College is all about random happenings and Student Activities hopes to add to that in the month of March. Facebook posts and Tweets will let the campus know what events are happening.
Friday, 3/18 Geneva College Cook-Off
The Cook-Off will begin in Skye Lounge at 3 p.m., when the rules will be explained. Students will work in teams (number TBD) and the cooking will happen in the residence buildings. Dishes will be brought back to Skye Lounge for the final taste testing.

Monday through Friday, 4/4-8 Humans vs. Zombies
HVZ will start on April 4. Students, some humans and some zombies, will chase each other around with Nerf guns competing in missions sent out during the week by Student Activities. Each person is responsible for supplying their own Nerf gun.
Friday, 4/29 My Generation Night 2011
My Generation Night is an event for students to perform music from their generation .The event is in the Fieldhouse at 8 p.m. Participants can audition either as a band doing a cover song from their generation or as a filler act (skit, video, talent, etc). Auditions will take place on April 15 and additional sign-up information will follow.
