Beaver Falls, PA - It will be more than just another basketball game for Geneva seniors Valerie Hamilton and Christine Carugati. The duo will be playing their final game for the Golden Tornadoes on Saturday night against Waynesburg in a game scheduled to tip-off at 5:30 pm. The Geneva men will follow at 7:30 pm with seniors from both teams being recognized between games. The Golden Tornadoes will also be welcoming back alumni members from both teams for a special reception and recognition. But perhaps the most important highlight of the night will be the support for WBCA (Women′s Basketball Coaches of America) Pink Zone. The WBCA Pink Zone initiative has raised a phenomenal amount of awareness for breast cancer over the past four years, as well as a significant amount of donations for women′s cancer research.

The Golden Tornadoes will show their support for the WBCA Pink Zone on Saturday night in an effort to draw awareness to breast cancer and to take donations for research. Donation baskets will be set up at the entrance to Metheny Fieldhouse prior, during and after each game.

The WBCA′s charity of choice is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. It is encouraged that all donations from the event be directed to that very worthy charity.

Geneva and Waynesburg will be tipping off at 5:30 pm in women′s action and the men will begin at 7:30 pm.
