Dean Smith, chapel coordinator, with Daniel Sepulveda, Pittsburgh Steelers punterPittsburgh Steeler Daniel Sepulveda gave his testimony in chapel on Wednesday, February 16 in Metheny Fieldhouse. Approximately 3,000 students, faculty, staff and members of the community were present to hear the Pittsburgh punter, who ended the season early by injuring the ACL in his right leg during a December game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Sepulveda spoke to the audience of how his injuries have helped him realize that all that he has, he was given by God, and that he has no control over what happens. His humble testimony credited God for his success and showed his reliance on the Lord.

"Thank God that I didn't have my jersey on [at the Super Bowl], because I wouldn't understand as deeply as I do now that I'm a child of God more than anything else," said Sepulveda. "And the benefit that that truth is going to deliver me for the rest of my life going forward is far greater than any Super Bowl experience."
