Dr. Jerry RootDr. Jerry Root will speak in McCartney Library on Tuesday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m. and in chapel on Wednesday, March 23 at 10:10 a.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse. A professor of Christian Formation and Ministry, Evangelism and Leadership at Wheaton College, Dr. Root′s focus of study is the works and life of Christian author C.S. Lewis.

On Tuesday, Dr. Root will host a conversation on the many works of C.S. Lewis, answering questions from the campus community. During chapel on Wednesday, he will present "God′s Great Love for Us," speaking on I John 3.

Also while on campus, Dr. Root and several administrators and current students from Wheaton will be meeting with various people from Geneva College to discuss the "Wheaton Evangelism Initiative." The goal of this initiative is to pass on a vibrant faith rooted in the Gospel to the next generation. To read more about the "Wheaton Evangelism Initiative," click here.

Dr. Root has served roles as a pastor and in student ministry for over 23 years. He is also a well-known international speaker, having lectured in 14 different countries including Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Sudan and Uganda.
