New Wilmington, PA - Westminster College hosted the PAC Quad North track and field meet on Wednesday afternoon and several Geneva College athletes were on display. Much like the first part of the outdoor season, it was the distance runners and throwers that dominated the spotlight for the Golden Tornadoes. The men finished second out of four schools with 53.5 points while the women posted 44 points and a third place finish.

Julia Urbanski won the 1500 meter event with a time of 4:49.38 and placed second in the 800 meter race with a mark of 2:19.78. Joining Urbanski in the winner′s circle was Shannon Rech with a first place finish in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Emily Crain won the women′s long jump event with a final distance of 4.50 meters and Kathryn Regalado took first place in the shot put with a winning throw of 11.22 meters.

In men′s action, Ryan White won the 200 meter dash with a final time of 23.09 while teammate Nick Edinger took home first place honors in the men′s 3000 meter event. Geneva′s 4 x 100 meter relay team comprised of Ryan White, Wes Marquis, Aaron Marga and John-Henry Jarwood took home first place with a time of 44.53. Finally, Dan Dillman was the only Geneva athlete to win two events on Wednesday. Dillman won first place honors in the shot put with a distance of 14.14 meters and then won the discus event with a throw of 39.95 meters.

The Golden Tornadoes will head right back to Westminster for another meet on Saturday morning as the PAC championships are just two weeks away.
