Lori Wynn is the new women's basketball coach at Geneva College.Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College women′s basketball program has a new leader at the top. Lori Wynn has been hired to take over the Golden Tornadoes′ women′s basketball program following the resignation of Renee Drake.

Wynn returns to Geneva where she began her collegiate playing career as a freshman in 1988. She finished her athletic and academic career at Houghton College before completing her Master′s in Education at East Stroudsburg University. Wynn has spent 18 years as a collegiate coach with stops at Grace, Taylor and most recently Malone College. Wynn served as the head coach for Malone for the past eight years. In addition to teaching, she also enjoyed stints as the Associate Director and Assistant Director of Athletics for the Pioneers.

Wynn will also be teaching classes at Geneva College within the Physical Education Department. "We are blessed to have a person of Lori′s caliber and a woman that is committed to her faith and living that out in her profession," says Geneva athletic director Dr. Kim Gall.

Wynn will take over a program that finished the 2010-11 season with an overall mark of 9-16. The Golden Tornadoes have combined for 17 wins in the past two years. Geneva is scheduled to open the 2011-12 campaign on November 15 at Penn State Greater Allegheny before hosting Ursuline on November 17 for the home opener. The Golden Tornadoes open conference play on November 30 against defending PAC champion Thomas More.
