Geneva College will host the annual Cokes and Connections event on Friday, September 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the campus′ pedestrian mall. During the event, students have the opportunity to learn about programs that Geneva and the Beaver Falls community have to offer.
At Cokes and Connections, students visit booths to hear about different programs and learn how to get involved. A wide variety of programs and clubs are represented at this event. From men′s rugby to the community service program God Led, there′s a program for nearly every interest. After visiting a booth, students will receive a ticket from the sponsor. Once the student has at least three tickets, they can be exchanged for a Coca-Cola product of their choice at the Geneva College Student Union (GCSU) booth.
This event provides students with connection points early in the semester that could benefit a student for the rest of their time at Geneva. "It′s our hope that through Cokes and Connections, students can make meaningful connections both with groups on and off campus," says Director of Student Programs Ryan Holt.
Based on the response to the event last year, Holt is excited about the impact of Cokes and Connections again this year. "The atmosphere on the pedestrian mall was great. It was a lot of fun to see people so passionate about their service and ministry."
Liz Grubb, Graduate Assistant of Student Leadership and Development, adds, "This is a good opportunity for not only freshman, but upperclassmen as well, to get associated with churches and on-campus organizations."
