Pittsburgh, PA - It was the Jake McCracken show for the Geneva College men′s soccer team on Monday night. The senior midfielder scored three times to double his season output as the Golden Tornadoes won for the second time in three days to move to 3-1-1 on the season. McCracken scored at the 15 minute mark to put Geneva on the board and then found the net again 15 minutes later to double the lead.

LaRoche tried to battle back with a goal just three minutes prior to the halftime whistle. The Redhawks took momentum into the halftime break but Geneva was able to get that momentum back when McCracken struck again in the 63rd minute to regain Geneva′s two-goal advantage.

Jake Reed put the icing on the cake with Geneva′s fourth goal with just over a minute left in regulation. Austin Petrie added two assists in the match including one on McCracken's third goal of the match as well on Reed's late goal. Other assists on the night were handed out to David Gerlach, David Harwood and Alexander Rosenbaum. Evan Biedenbach picked up his first victory of the season in goal and did so with four saves in the match.

Geneva controlled the play and the field position for most of the game and outshot the Redhawks 18-13 in the match.

The Golden Tornadoes return home on Wednesday night to face Malone University prior to hosting Franciscan University on Saturday at 7 pm.
