Greensburg, PA - Freshman Rhetta King played the role of defender to help Geneva manage a tie on Monday night against LaRoche. On Wednesday night, she switched roles and posted a pair of goals to help lead the Golden Tornadoes to a 4-0 victory at Pitt-Greensburg to improve to 3-2-1 on the season.

King headed a LaRoche shot away from the goal in the closing moments of Geneva′s 2-2 double overtime tie on Monday night. Two days later, King was on the other end of the field giving Geneva a 2-0 lead with the first two markers of the night. King scored her third goal of the season in the 41st minute of the match to break a scoreless tie. Just three minutes later and in the final seconds before the half, King struck again to extend the lead before the halftime whistle.

Karmyn Culbertson and Kathryn Wiater each found the net for the Golden Tornadoes in the second half to put the game away. Geneva controlled field position from start to finish by out shooting UPG 18-1 for the match with no Bobcat shots on the net to threaten freshman goalkeeper Sara Mittner. Mittner picked up yet another easy shut-out victory which makes for three on the season.

The Golden Tornadoes will welcome Franciscan University to Merriman Athletic Complex on Saturday evening with the kickoff scheduled for 5 pm.
