Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College women′s soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Franciscan University on Saturday evening. The Golden Tornadoes fell back to the .500 mark at 3-3-1 with their first loss in three games.

Fransican′s Jordan Byrley scored the first of her two goals in the 36th to break a scoreless tie. The Barons took a 1-0 lead into halftime and were able to improve upon that lead with back to back goals from Julia Cocozza in the 72nd and 80th minute.

Geneva finally found the net with just over eight minutes left in regulation when Maura Allen scored her team leading eighth goal of the season. Byrley scored her second goal of the game for Franciscan in the final minute to put the icing on the 4-1 victory.

The Golden Tornadoes will travel to Cleveland on Wednesday to take on Ursuline College before heading to Carlow next Saturday. The Golden Tornadoes return home on September 27th to face Marietta College.
