Greenville, PA - Thiel College was one of the schools in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference that Geneva had pinpointed for a group that could pose a challenge. On Tuesday night, the Golden Tornadoes dispatched any ideas that the Tomcats may have of handing Geneva its first conference loss. Geneva cruised to a 3-0 victory by scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-16 to improve to 11-6 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

Deanna Briody, who was just named the PAC player of the week, came up with another solid effort including 40 assists in the match. She distributed the ball evenly to Geneva kill leaders Ashley Davis (12), Kristland McCracken (10) and Maggie Bowersox (9).

Brianna Mixter led the defense from her libero position with a team best 25 digs while Rachel Kuegler chipped in with 15 digs in the victory.

After falling behind 7-2 in the first game of the match, the Golden Tornadoes stormed back to take control of the game and of the match.

Geneva′s tough conference week continues back home at Metheny Fieldhouse on Thursday night when Geneva welcomes Saint Vincent. The Golden Tornadoes travel to Thomas More on Saturday to take on the Saints and Bethany College.
