Latrobe, PA - No nearly as much drama was needed for the Geneva College men′s soccer team in its second conference game of the season. After a 2-1 overtime victory over Washington & Jefferson on Saturday, the Golden Tornadoes cruised to a 5-0 victory over Saint Vincent in Latrobe on Tuesday afternoon. Geneva pushed its overall record to 8-3-1 including a perfect 2-0 mark in the PAC.

It took less than four minutes for Geneva to get on the board as Teddy Krzywiecki scored off of a corner kick with assists going to Jon Mathoslah and Jeb Nash. Just six minutes later, the Golden Tornadoes extended their lead as Jake McCracken netted his team leading tenth goal of the season on an impressive diving header that was fed from Jeb Nash.

Before the first half ended, Josh Mann found the net for the first of two goals in the game to give the Golden Tornadoes a commanding 3-0 lead at the half. Austin Petrie and Mann′s second goal of the match accounted for the only scoring in the second half as Geneva cruised to its second consecutive conference victory.

Bryan Butler needed to make just three saves to pick up his fourth shut-out of the season. The Golden Tornadoes out shot Saint Vincent 20-5 in the match and controlled the pace of the game throughout the afternoon.

Geneva will return home on Saturday to put its perfect conference record on the line when it faces Westminster College at 7 pm at Merriman Athletic Complex.
