Oberlin, OH - The Geneva College cross country teams found themselves smack dab in the middle of the finest field of the season. Going up against some of the top competition in NCAA Division III, the Golden Tornadoes got a true measuring stick of where they are and where they need to go. Geneva′s men finished 29th out of 34 schools while the women placed 23rd out of 33.

No Geneva runner managed to finish in the top 50 in either race as the women′s top runner on Saturday was Shannon Rech, who crossed the line 75th overall. Heidi Steiner was 103 and Anna Kluitenberg 148 to round out Geneva′s top three.

Only one Geneva runner on the men′s side finished in the top 150 with junior Nick Edinger crossing the line in 44th position with a solid sub-27 minute effort. Chuck Walters finished 177th and Charles Parker 209 in the field of 315 runners.

Saturday′s meet served as the final tune-up for the Golden Tornadoes before the Presidents′ Athletic Conference championships two weeks from today at Westminster College.
