Beaver Falls, PA - Maggie Bowersox had a pretty impressive week for the Geneva College volleyball team. While she was honored as the Presidents′ Athletic Conference player of the week, Bowersox herself would probably tell you that the entire Geneva team should be receiving the award. The Golden Tornadoes finished off a perfect 4-0 week with victories over Westminster and Thomas More on Saturday. The doubleheader sweep clinched the school′s first ever regular season PAC title as the Golden Tornadoes improved to 21-7 overall and 16-1 in conference play.

Bowersox certainly did her part in helping Geneva clinch the title. Last week, she posted 44 kills (3.14/set), 18 digs and six service aces in victories Waynesburg, Bethany, Westminster and Thomas More. For the season, Bowersox has picked up 297 kills to go along with a hitting percentage of .296.

Bowersox and her Geneva teammates close out the regular season at Chatham on Thursday before heading to Mt. Vernon over the weekend for the NCCAA East Regional tournament. The Golden Tornadoes will host the PAC semi-finals next Friday, November 4th with the championship match taking place the next day.
