2011 Geneva College homecoming court

Homecoming king and queen - seniors Kyle Potter (engineering, Jamestown, NY) and Sofia Payson (communications, Mifflinburg, PA).

As part of the traditional annual Homecoming celebration, the student-elected Homecoming court appeared on the field at halftime of the 2011 Homecoming Golden Tornados football game against St. Vincent. During this time, the Homecoming king and queen were crowned. This year′s Homecoming king and queen were seniors Kyle Potter (engineering, Jamestown, NY) and Sofia Payson (communications, Mifflinburg, PA).

The other senior members of the court were Melissa Kellner (human services, Horsham, PA), Nancy Paul (communication disorders, Saxonburg, PA), Jeremy Shen (communication, Daisytown, PA) and Sam Weaver (chemistry, Homer City, PA). Accompanying them were junior representatives Laura Pinkerton (elementary education, Cincinnatus, NY) and Tom Barr (history, Beaver Falls, PA); sophomore representatives Molly Lyon (music education, Winchester, KS) and Nate Thompson (biology, Coraopolis, PA); and freshman representatives Kali Albani (communication disorders, Nazareth, PA) and Michael Warren (music education, Pittsburgh, PA).

Payson commented, "I was first surprised to find myself nominated, but I thought that as a thank-you to my supporters, I would make the best of the experience. It was a great compliment to be chosen. As a child of the King of Heaven, I know that all the praise goes to Him."

The theme for the 2011 Homecoming was "Back to the Future." Events and festivities for the day included vendor booths along the pedestrian mall, games, musicians, entertainment and more.
