Crestview Hills, KY - It has been five years since Geneva College officially became part of the Presidents′ Athletic Conference. This is the first year that the Golden Tornadoes are eligible for post-season play but for the past five seasons, Geneva has played a full PAC schedule in all sports. In women′s basketball, the Golden Tornadoes have tested themselves against Thomas More ten times over those five years and on Saturday the Saints defeated Geneva for the tenth consecutive time. The six-time defending conference champions led the entire game and cruised to a 78-36 victory. The loss was Geneva′s fourth straight overall and dropped its record to 3-14 overall and 2-8 overall. Meanwhile, Thomas More kept pace at the top of the conference standings with a 9-1 mark in the PAC and 13-4 overall.

The Golden Tornadoes could never get going offensively while Thomas More started very quickly on its home court. The Saints scored the game′s first 14 points and opened up a 25-2 lead just eight minutes into the game. By halftime, Thomas More had opened up a 44-14 lead. The Saints led by as many as 45 points before settling for a 42-point victory.

Samantha Fisher led Geneva with 11 points and eight rebounds while freshman guard Chelsea Kauffman also reached double figures with a ten point effort. It was once again the turnover bugaboo that cost Geneva having committed 32 in the loss. Every player on the Thomas More roster got on the score sheet led by 14 points from Devin Beasley off the bench.

Geneva will return to Metheny Fieldhouse next Wednesday to face Bethany College at 5:30 pm before heading to Waynesburg next Saturday.
