Beaver Falls, PA - The Presidents′ Athletic Conference announced its 2011 Fall Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday and Geneva College and its Golden Tornadoes′ student-athletes were more than well represented. In fact, a total of 375 student-athletes across the PAC were honored including 53 from Geneva College. Only Waynesburg (62) had more student-athletes reach the criteria of at least a 3.6 GPA throughout the fall semester of competition.

Each of Geneva′s seven fall athletic programs including men′s and women′s cross country, men′s and women′s soccer, volleyball, football and women′s tennis had representatives on the 2011 honor roll. The Geneva football team walked away with the honor of having the most student-athletes honored by the PAC on Geneva's list with 11, while men's soccer and volleyball each had nine members on the honor roll. In fact, the Geneva football team ranked third among PAC schools as having the most players honored.

The total of 53 Geneva student-athletes honored is up by nine from last year′s total of 44 honorees. Across the PAC, the number of honor roll members is up 4.5% from last year′s total of 359 honorees.

The Presidents′ Athletic Conference will honor the winter and spring honor roll members following the second semester in mid-May. The criteria of at least a 3.6 GPA will hold for the spring award.
