Student and Alumni Networking

Alumni Relations and the Office of Career Development will host the second annual Student and Alumni Networking Event on Wednesday, February 8 from 5:45-7:30 p.m. in Skye Lounge. A panel of alumni will answer questions regarding the interview process, networking, faith in the work place, graduate school and their experiences outside of Geneva College.

"The students will hear from established Geneva alumni about the transition from college to their careers," says Alumni Relations Representative Melanie Katip. "The event is business casual, so dress to impress."

There will be alumni in attendance representing communications/communications disorders, business, engineering, biology, human services/psychology and computer science. Employers of these graduates include UPMC, Range Resources, Grossman Yanak & Ford LLP, Gannett Fleming, Inc., the Gettysburg Hospital, West-Penn Bariatric Surgery Center and Northrop Grumman.

"I found this event extremely helpful. I was able to listen to a panel of established employers and had a chance to network with Geneva alumni who had already gone through the transition from college to the workplace," explains Abbie Whalin ′11, who attended the event last year.

The Student and Alumni Networking Event is part of the "Beyond Here: The Senior Success Project" program.

To register for the event, email alumni@geneva.edu and include name and major.
