Geneva College's "Accept the Challenge" outdoor billboard, created by Pittsburgh marketing communications firm BD&E, has won a Silver Award in the 27th Annual Educational Advertising Awards of the Higher Education Marketing Report.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. More than 2,900 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from across the United States and several foreign countries. This is the first time that Geneva College has ever received national recognition in the Educational Advertising Awards of the Higher Education Marketing Report.

The Higher Education Marketing Report has been the nation′s leading marketing publication for higher education marketing professionals for 27 years. Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.

“Geneva is all about providing an academically excellent, Christ-centered education as a way to prepare students to go out into the world and serve the Lord,” notes Director of Marketing Services and Public Relations Cheryl Johnston. “Our marketing firm, BD&E, captured and presented that in a spectacular way through the ‘Accept the Challenge' campaign. It′s accurate and very well done, and I′m so pleased it was selected for this honor.”
