Rob Rostoni, Director of Career Development and Adjunct faculty, has recently been appointed Chair of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) Career Services group. In this capacity, he will be leading national initiatives to support and strengthen Christian higher education.

Rostoni worked closely with the CCCU Career Services group for the past several years, and the retiring chairperson nominated as a result of this active involvement. He has already begun chartering a more formal leadership structure to help with areas ranging from membership and research to communications and finance.

"We are becoming an active affinity group with the Association for Christians in Student Development organization, are examining and developing standardized benchmarking and post-graduate data collection practices, and are developing a nation-wide Christian college reciprocity program," states Rostoni about the Center′s ongoing accomplishments. "We are in the process of launching a national Christian Career Services professional blog," he adds.

Rostoni′s recent activities also include co-publishing an e-monograph addressing how Career Services can support sustainability challenges in higher education, and presenting national benchmarking data and initiatives at the latest Association for Christians in Student Development (ACSD) national conference to help unify benchmarking practices among Christian colleges and universities.

"Career Development," Rostoni believes, "is poised to provide beneficial partnerships both internal and external to the institution. Career Development also helps attract and retain students, assists graduating students into the marketplace and aids alumni in their re-careering efforts."
