Ed WelchEdward Welch holds a Ph.D. in neuropsychology from the University of Utah, and has wielded his expertise in counseling to write a stack of books focusing on subjects such as depression, fear and addiction. On September 4 and 5 Dr. Welch will be at Geneva College to speak to the Geneva community and guests.

On September 4, Dr. Welch will be in the Geneva Student Center′s Skye Lounge, offering a 7 p.m. lecture on Compassionate Counseling. On September 5, he will present a speech titled "When People are Big and God is Small" in Chapel. Both lectures are free.

Welch has a Master of Divinity degree from Biblical Theological Seminary in addition to his Ph.D., and employs both in order to offer Christian advice on various disorders. His books include: When People Are Big and God is Small; Addictions: A Banquet in the Grave; Blame it on the Brain; Depression-A Stubborn Darkness; Running Scared; Crossroads: A Step-by-Step Guide Away From Addiction; and When I Am Afraid: A Step-by-Step Guide Away from Fear and Anxiety.
