Pittsburgh, PA - After suffering its first loss of 2012, the Geneva College women′s volleyball team got back into conference play and back into the win column twice on Tuesday. The Golden Tornadoes took care of business against a pair of PAC opponents with a 3-0 victory over Chatham and a 3-1 win against Washington & Jefferson.

Geneva cruised against the host Cougars by scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-21. Sarah Ormsby led the offense with ten kills while Rachel Netherland chipped in with seven kills in the victory. Lynsey Gugino finished the match with 21 assists.

In the night cap, Geneva took four sets to dispatch Washington & Jefferson by scores of 25-20, 25-13, 23-25, 25-21. The usual suspects returned for Geneva in the victory with Maggie Bowersox leading the way with 16 kills and Ashley Davis adding 13 on the night. Deanna Briody, who was named PAC player of the week earlier in the day, posted 46 assists, 20 digs and five service aces to help lead Geneva to its 10-1 overall record including a perfect 3-0 in conference play.

After 11 matches away from home, Geneva finally returns to Metheny Fieldhouse tomorrow night to battle Waynesburg University at 7 pm.
