Bethany, WV - The Geneva women′s tennis team won its second consecutive conference road match and moved to 6-4 overall and 4-2 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference on the strength of a 6-3 victory over Bethany on Tuesday. With the victory, the Golden Tornadoes have already improved upon their five victories in 2011.

On Tuesday, the Golden Tornadoes opened the match by winning four of six singles matches. Dropping number one and two singles, Geneva managed to win each of the other four matches. Samantha Jensen, Brittany Kress, Christine Bullock and Alison Beattie each won singles matches in straight sets including Kress′ impressive 6-0, 6-0 victory. Beattie and Bullock continued their impressive 2012 by remaining undefeated in singles play with perfect records of 6-0.

Kress and teammate Courtney Light put the match away with an 8-1 decision to improve their doubles mark to 7-1 on the season. The duo of Jensen and Jen Bullock won for the fourth time this year with an 8-3 decision in number two doubles.

The Golden Tornadoes return home on Thursday to take on Waynesburg University at 4 pm. After Thursday, Geneva has just three regular season matches remaining before the PAC Championship take place in Erie on October 20th.
