Latrobe, PA - Coming off a victory at Penn State Altoona on Friday, the Geneva College tennis team was faced with one of its most difficult challenges of the season against Saint Vincent on Saturday morning. The Golden Tornadoes saw their four-game win streak come to an end with an 8-1 loss to first place Saint Vincent College.

Geneva got swept in all six singles matches with each match being contested in straight sets. The Golden Tornadoes also lost two out of three doubles matches with the lone victory coming at number three doubles and the tandem of Courtney Light and Brittany Kress. Light and Kress pulled out an 8-6 decision in the final doubles match of the day to improve their season record to an impressive 8-1.

The schedule doesn′t get any easier for the Golden Tornadoes as they will travel to New Wilmington, PA on Monday to take on the other PAC undefeated team in Westminster. Monday′s match marks the regular season finale with the PAC Championships scheduled for Oct. 19-20.
