Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva women′s soccer team hadn′t allowed a goal throughout the entire month of October. On Saturday, the Golden Tornadoes were faced with the challenge of facing undefeated and first place Thomas More at Merriman Complex. The shut-out streak did not continue as Geneva dropped a 5-0 decision to Thomas More. With the loss, Geneva dropped to 7-6-1 overall and 3-2 in the PAC while Thomas More remained unbeaten in league play at 5-0 while pushing its record to 14-1 overall.

The first half was played evenly but it was Thomas More that struck for the only goal of the half in the 29th minute. The second half, however, was a totally different story. Geneva got outshot 14-1 in the second stanza and yielded four goals. Thomas More struck for four goals in a 28 minute span that put the game away.

The Golden Tornadoes are still right in the middle of the PAC play-off hunt and have a big week next week. Geneva heads to Waynesburg on Wednesday before returning for homecoming next Saturday at 11 am against Grove City College.
