This month, the Projecting Hope Film Festival is celebrating its 10th year of presenting free Christian movies to the public. The festival will run from October 19-21 at Fox Chapel Waterworks Cinemas. Movies to be shown range from Christian classics to special, pre-release features.

Tickets to the movies are free and can be picked up at the door on the day of the screening. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.

The Film Festival will begin on Friday, October 19 at 6:45 p.m. with a showing of The Lost Medallion. This pre-release movie follows teenager Billy Stone and his friends as they discover a medallion and wish themselves back in time on an exotic island. With no way to get off the island, Billy must discover how to reclaim the medallion and use its power.

With several showings throughout the festival, For Greater Glory tells the true story of the 1920s Cristero War. This action-epic portrays a group of men and women who must risk their family and faith for the sake of their country. The cast includes Academy Award nominee Andrew Garcia, Peter O′Toole and Eva Longoria.

Other films to be shown during the weekend include Not Today, Jimmy, October Baby, Rogue Saints, Escape, 25 Hill, Courageous, Seven Days in Utopia, One Hit from Home, Eyes to See and Veggie Tales: League of Incredible Vegetables.

For a service charge of $5, advance tickets may be ordered now through Thursday, October 18. To make certain that free tickets remain available for individuals on the day of the showing, only a limited number of tickets for each show will be available for advance ordering.
