Carlisle, PA - It only makes sense that Geneva′s Nick Edinger would run the best race of his career in the final race of his career. Edinger led the Geneva men′s team to the NCAA Division III regional meet on Saturday and turned in the best performance of his career. Edinger crossed the line in 29th position in a Geneva record setting time of 26:14 on the 8K course. For his efforts, Edinger was named an All-Regional performer for the first time in his career as one of the top 25 finishers. Geneva′s men′s team finished 33rd overall out of 49 competing schools.

In women′s action, Geneva turned in an impressive 15th place finish at the regional meet after placing 26th at the same meet last year. Sarah-Noel Meet collapsed over the finish line for a 44th place finish capping off a very impressive freshman season with a time of 23:55. Alayna Merkle was Geneva′s next top finisher with a 56th place spot in a time of 24:18. One of the best performances of the day came from Emily Hoobler, who posted a 66th place finish with a time of 24:34.
