Beaver Falls, PA - The Thomas More College women′s program has won eight consecutive Presidents′ Athletic Conference titles. Opening the 2012-13 season ranked 14th in the nation, the Saints have done nothing to downplay that distinction. On Wednesday night, the high flying Saints brought their show to Beaver Falls and cruised to an 81-40 victory over Geneva College. The loss dropped Geneva to 2-10 overall and 0-5 in the PAC while Thomas More improved to 11-1 and 5-0 in league play.

Geneva took some early shots from Thomas More but eight minutes into the game, the Golden Tornadoes trailed by just two points at 9-7. The Saints began to knock down shot after shot the rest of the first half and entered the halftime break with a 39-15 advantage. The second half proved to be much more of the same as the Saints shot 57% from the field in the final 20 minutes in outscoring Geneva 42-25 in the final stanza. For the game, Thomas More shot 52% and held Geneva to 35% while forcing 28 Golden Tornadoes′ turnovers.

On the bright side, Geneva′s Leah Prisuta led the way with 13 points on 5-11 shooting from the field. Heidi Mann chipped in with 11 points in the game including a 3-6 effort from three-point range. For the game, Geneva knocked down six treys in just 13 attempts.

The Golden Tornadoes will continue to look for their first conference victory of the season when they host Grove City College at Metheny Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm. Geneva will then hit the road for three straight conference games before returning to face Thiel on January 19th.
