Crestview Hills, KY - When the six-time defending conference champions and the ninth ranked team in the nations play on all cylinders, it doesn′t really matter much what team is on the other side of the court. On Wednesday night, it was the Geneva College women′s basketball team that was forced to endure an onslaught by one of the top teams in the country. Thomas More cruised from start to finish and took care of the Golden Tornadoes by the count of 90-31. It was the 14th consecutive victory by Thomas More over Geneva as the Golden Tornadoes fell to 3-17 on the season and 1-12 in conference play. Meanwhile, the juggernaut that is Thomas More women′s basketball improved to 19-1 overall and 13-0 in the PAC with its 16th consecutive victory.

The Saints scored the game′s first eight points and never looked back. Opening up a 49-21 lead at the half, Thomas More was never challenged throughout the night. The Saints held Geneva to six field goals in the first half and only five in a second half that featured Thomas More out scoring Geneva 41-10.

The Golden Tornadoes had problems with Thomas More′s pressure all night and committed 34 turnovers in the loss while attempting just 33 shots to the Saints′ 75 attempts.

The lone bright spot of the night was turned in by Samantha Fisher′s ten points and eight rebounds. Heidi Mann and Chelsea D′Urso each posted six points in the loss. Geneva will look to put Wednesday′s loss quickly in the rear view mirror as it will travel to Waynesburg University for a 1:30 tip-off on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Tornadoes return home next Wednesday night to host Saint Vincent.
