Geneva College′s History, Political Science & Sociology Day is a special event for prospective students interested in the past, politics or criminal justice. The occasion is intended to provide a better understanding of history, political science and sociology majors, as well as potential career paths and resources available to Geneva students. This visit day will be held on Monday, January 28 from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

“We want to highlight the vibrant and fulfilling careers that students can find, with a background in history, political science or sociology,” says Professor of Political Science Dr. Tom Copeland. “Our graduates live and work all over the world, and a Geneva degree in these areas is great preparation.”

Attending students will also have the opportunity to hear from Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow Marcia Grant, President of Effat College located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Grant had served as Director of the Fulbright Program in Mexico and as a cultural attaché in Paris. She is currently the Education Counselor for Princess Lolowah bint Faisal, a member of the Saudi Royal Family.

“Our special guest, former State Department official Marcia Grant, has worked all over the world, and she is going to share her experience of what students today need to know and to do in order to succeed in a globalized world,” says Dr. Copeland.

Students who are undecided or interested in majors outside of history, political science and sociology are also welcome to visit the Geneva College campus during this event.
