Beaver Falls, PA - After playing three games in a row on the home court, the women′s basketball Golden Tornadoes hit the road for a conference match up with the Saint Vincent Bearcats. Geneva started their game last Saturday with a full roster with the return of sophomore point guard Chelsea Kauffman but sadly the full roster didn′t last long with an ankle injury to Leah Prisuta and later senior Chelsea D′Urso caught the winter flu. The Golden Tornadoes entered tonight′s match missing their two teammates and still searching for their first conference win with an overall record of 2-11 and 0-6 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC).

The Bearcats started out strong and didn′t seem to look back. Geneva displayed great defensive effort and found the basket inside but still came up short with a half time score of 14-35. On the other side of the bench St. Vincent′s Elle Collins collected two three point baskets in the first half and continued to find the net four more times from the outside. The second half mirrored the first as Geneva scored 18 points to St. Vincent′s 35 making the final score 70-32. The 32 points made were the least amount of points allowed by Saint Vincent since giving up 28 points to Houghton on January 8, 2005.

Geneva returns home empty handed of a conference win with the overall record of 2-12 and a 0-7 mark in the PAC. Geneva will not have to wait long to battle again for a PAC win traveling to Westminster College (5-9), (3-4) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
