Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College men′s basketball team may be hitting its stride at exactly the right time. The Golden Tornadoes will open the post-season on Tuesday night at Thomas More in the first round of the Presidents′ Athletic Conference tournament. Geneva was a perfect 3-0 last week with one of the main reasons being the play of senior forward Matt Lorello.

Lorello finished the regular season as the PAC′s leading scorer with nearly 20 points per game. Last week, Lorello averaged 21 points per game and shot an incredible 79% (27-34) from the field. He also averaged nearly six rebounds in Geneva′s three wins over Penn State Beaver, W & J and Westminster.

Perhaps the biggest contribution from Lorello came late in the game with Westminster where he grabbed a pair of offensive rebounds to secure Geneva′s 84-80 victory over Westminster to help avoid the PAC play-in game on Monday night.
