gaa_logo.pngGeneva Across America (GAA) organizers are pleased to announce a revised route that brings the team much closer to Geneva College. The change was made to the last leg of the trip, called "Geneva Across America: Cycle to the Sea." Now, being a part of the adventure is more convenient for interested students, alumni and friends of the college.

"If you enjoy cycling, Christian community, and are looking for an epic summer adventure, then join us and help us celebrate the final leg our adventure," says Dr. Michael Loomis, Dean of Student Development.

The cost for the "Cycle to the Sea" portion is $525 per rider, which covers food and other related expenses. Those who join "Cycle to the Sea" will meet up with the team at the McKeesport Great Allegheny Passage Trailhead on Tuesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. Participants may also meet at Geneva at 8:30 a.m. and drive together to the trail marker. The group will then travel with the team during the nine-day final stretch, which ends in Bethany Beach, DE on July 17.

Anyone interested in participating also has the option of riding any portion for $85 a day.

Geneva Across America is a transcontinental bike tour sponsored by the Office of Student Development. The GAA team will ride across the United States with the purpose of raising money to establish an endowed scholarship for students in need. From May to July, the team of nine riders will cross 13 states and cover 3,708 miles.

Other ways to support the bike tour include sponsoring a rider, making a one-time donation to the scholarship fund, and hosting or feeding the team along their journey.
