Grove City, PA - Not much went right for the Geneva College baseball team on Monday in an 11-0 loss at Grove City College. The defense committed four errors and the offense came up with only six hits in the loss. The Golden Tornadoes fell to 1-17 overall and 5-10 in PAC action.

Grove City posted two runs each in innings two and three. The Wolverines extended the lead with four more tallies in the sixth and three more in the seventh. Geneva got base hits from six different players but was unable to dent the scoreboard.

Doug Sanson was handed the loss after allowing ten hits and seven earned runs in five innings of work. Drew Nichols allowed one earned run in two innings of relief with Steve Shyda posting one inning of scoreless relief.

The Golden Tornadoes travel to New Wilmington on Tuesday for a 2 pm doubleheader. Geneva will return home next Monday for a doubleheader with Medaille College.
