The Geneva College Health Fair, hosted by the Health Office, will be held in Skye Lounge of the Student Center on April 18, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Booths include the Community Health Challenge, which will provide information on drug and alcohol addiction, gambling addiction and smoking cessation; the Walmart Vision Center, which will offer free vision screenings; and Geneva′s Counseling Center, which will give free screenings for depression.

Another booth, staffed by the Women's Center of Beaver County, will present information helpful to victims of domestic and sexual violence, while the Riverside Family Chiropractic booth holds information regarding spinal health.

During the fair, free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will be provided, along with plenty of healthy snacks.

"This is the second year the health office is doing a health fair," states Michael Grabowski, graduate assistant for Health and Wellness. Since last year's event was a hit, he says, "We are hoping for another success."

The event is free of charge for Geneva College students, faculty and staff.
