The band will perform such standards as "Basie Boogie," "Georgia on My Mind," "In the Mood," "They Can′t Take That Away from Me," "Woodchopper′s Ball" and more. In addition to the solo features from within the band, the program will also include several vocal solos.

"The annual Jazz Concert has become one of the most popular events on campus each spring, providing a high energy concert that continues to entertain and attract all ages," says Director and Music Department Chair Don Kephart. "We currently have 20 students shaping the traditional look of the early swing bands with contained brass, saxophone and rhythm sections."

Tickets cost $8 for adults and $4 for students. Seating is limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve tickets by calling Geneva′s Music Department at 724-847-6660 or emailing Ruth Vos at rcvos@geneva.edu.

Seating is on a first come basis and the doors will open 7:15 p.m. Tickets that have been reserved and put on hold will be at the ticket table in the lobby. Any tickets not claimed by 7:40 p.m. will be released for sale.
