Geneva College has recently revised its transfer policy to make transferring in easier for students. The most significant change is that, as of April 2013, transfer students are permitted to bring in an unlimited number of credits from two-year and four-year colleges.
In addition, the minimum number of credit hours required to be taken at Geneva, both in the core curriculum and in major and minor courses, has been reduced. Previously, transfer students had to complete 50 percent of these courses at Geneva. Now, only one-third of the core courses and one-third of the required major and minor courses must be completed at Geneva, which reduces the need to repeat key courses for many transfer students.
"Geneva is proud to welcome transfer students," says Dave Layton, Associate Vice President of Enrollment. "Many students have tried other colleges, but found that Geneva is the right fit for them. I′m pleased that we have been able to make pursuing a top-notch, faith-based education here easier."
