jeffriesmound.jpgBeaver Falls, PA - Baseball pitcher Mike Jeffreys is no unfamiliar face among the Golden Tornadoes along with his frustrated competitors in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC). This summer Jeffreys will become a familiar face far from western Pennsylvania during the summer months. Jeffreys will join a Cru Ministry called Athletes in Action located in five different cities throughout Alaska. The Alaska Baseball League (ABL) was created in 2001 for NCAA student-athletes that desire to compete at a minor league level.

Jeffreys will compete with the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks team as a pitcher this summer. Among a variety of tournaments and All-Star games, Jeffreys and the Chinooks will play 33 regular season games in the duration of the league.

This will be the second consecutive summer Jeffreys has participated in the Alaska Baseball League for the Chinooks. Last summer Jeffreys lead the league in strikeouts and then mirrored his talent in leading the PAC in strikeouts while breaking Geneva′s school record with 106 strikeouts during the 2013 spring season.
